What Is A TPA?
A Third Party Administrator (TPA) serves as a resource to manage all or part, of an employer’s drug and alcohol testing programs, including DOT and NON-DOT testing. At DISA this includes the full scope of administering the program including maintenance of required testing records, managing the DOT and company random testing programs, as well as providing employer functions when allowed under 49 CFR, Part 40. Depending on the agreement with the client, DISA can assist with the implementation of the drug and alcohol testing program. We have the capability, expertise, and staff to help keep the employer compliant with all DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing rules and regulations.
How Does This Work?
DISA – Formerly International Drug Detection will sit with representatives of the company to describe the TPA services that are available. The company and will agree on whether DISA will administer all or part of their program. DISA will provide written details of the program that was agreed on to the client, including information that is needed to start the TPA relationship.
